50th Anniversary of Earth Day
June 6 @ 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM| Free
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day with the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation. Take part in our annual spring clean-up and stay for fun family activities afterwards.
Celebrate Earth Day by joining us for the annual Baird Creek Cleanup on Saturday, June 6th, from 8:00 a.m. until noon at Triangle Hill (500 Beverly Rd). Work assignments begin at 8:00 and the cleanup will take place until noon. Participants will divide into teams based on their interest and head out to explore, pick up litter and debris, remove invasive species, or plant native species throughout the Greenway. All are welcome to participate; children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear work gloves if desired. If your group of 10 or more will be helping, please let us know by sending an email to email@example.com.
Bring a picnic lunch and stay for the afternoon where you can hike along with subject experts or listen to speakers about community projects. Schedule COMING SOON…topics range from fish sampling, forest bathing, and more!
