Home School Program – Life Cycles of Trees
October 15 @ 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM| $10
Baird Creek Preservation Foundation is excited to announce environmental programs designed for home schoolers!
The first program will be Life Cycles of Trees. In this 2 hour program, students will hike through old growth forests and an oak savannah. Participants will learn about the life cycle of a tree using an inquiry based format. Students will explore, describe and compare trees in various stages of growth. Students will have fun using their senses in an activity called “Meet a Tree”! Finally, students will compare the life cycle of a tree to themselves and other living things. This program meets many state science standards and is adapted for grades K-8 (the group will be divided by age if needed).
Preregistration is required and space is limited. Cost is $10 per child.
